FAQ

FAQ

Direct answers for the sensitive questions: privacy, limits, uninstalling, data, and what Blockk is not.

Can Blockk stop me from uninstalling the extension?

No Chrome extension can honestly promise that. Blockk adds friction inside its own pause flow, but Chrome still lets you disable or uninstall extensions from the browser settings page.

Does Blockk upload the sites I try to visit?

No. The MVP stores your custom blocklist, streak, and capped local event summaries in chrome.storage.local. It does not upload your browsing history or full blocked URLs.

Can I remove the shared NSFW blocklist?

No. My blocked sites only manages domains you personally added. The reviewed shared NSFW blocklist stays enabled so the core protection cannot be removed one domain at a time.

Does Submit NSFW upload my personal blocklist?

No. Submit NSFW opens a form for one user-chosen domain. It does not attach your current tab URL, browser history, full personal list, page title, email, or account data.

Is Blockk a medical treatment?

No. Blockk is a self-control tool for adding friction during weak moments. It is not medical advice, therapy, or a substitute for professional help.

How is Blockk different from other blockers?

Blockk is narrower: Chrome first, local by default, no account in the MVP, and built around adult-content urge interruption.
